I'm a 23 year old Baltimorian. I'm a nanny, my life is clearly just oh so glamorous. Have an awesome boyfriend, my job rocks and I like french fries.

And I heard Mitt Romney call Obama a “snob” for saying he that believes every American should attend college.
Was he being sarcastic or was that some kinda Republican insider? Because I’m completely confused. Can someone explain this for me?
First, it was Rick Santorum that accused Obama of being a snob.
Not that I’m trying to persuade anyone politically but if you’re looking for an honest answer it is this: he was saying that the new belief that everyone MUST go to college to become successful or make it anywhere is snobbish, and it is. Unfortunately there is too much focus on academic pedigree. I’m sure we all know someone who has some prestigious degree, but is a total dumb ass, unprepared and ill equipped for functioning in the real world. Though I do think that the comment was a little too far out there, the truth is, he is partially right. But Obama’s intention (hopefully) is not to force all American’s into college (but hey if the government wants to work on education reform and the ridiculous prices, please do so.)
tl;dr Rick’s point was you don’t need a degree from a 40K a year school to be smart or successful. There are still a lot of people with degrees (a lot, which are utterly useless) that are total idiots but still manage to get jobs simply based on a piece of paper.
Also, aren’t all politicians snobs? I mean really.
joke just like the rest of the GOP. He couldn’t think of anything better to say so...calls...
